About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Enjoy life...!! it's happening now...!!"

ABOUT ME

I love to travel everywhere, speak other languages...! and get into trouble by going in "unknown" places countries and areas where I know nobody, and need to... "bound" with what's around me...?!
I realized one of my dreams: doing a "one-year-travel", around South America, NZ and Australia, south-east Asia and India...
www.laureemma.wordpress.com
I spent then a few months in Barcelona to learn Spanish, discover the "Barcelona's way of life..."?!
And now, I go back to Padova, and try... to settle down!

PHILOSOPHY

"Live your dreams, don´t dream your life!"
"Be the change you wish to see in the world..." (Gandhi)
"Don't take life too seriously, as you won't get out of it alive!"

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm very much into music, book and movies/documentaries... I'll be honest, I love french writers, cause I understand them better... (bad answer; I know... I apologize!). Always with a book in my bag, and always ready to receive advices on great stories and awesome novels...! In case you are interested, read "Shantaram" from Gregory David Roberts, about India and its amazing life events... or "The Ice People" of René Barjavel (in french: La nuit des temps), it is shivering!! Also "La vie devant soi" from Romain Gary, loved it... made me laugh to the tears and even cry... translated with the tittle "The life before us"...
Music: I'd say i love everything between jazz, soul, ska, reggae/ragga, funk and classic...
Movies: (almost) all kind of movies entertain me... depends on the mood... Maybe more the ones that affect you, make you discover places, different people, or other way of thinking... Was quite shocked by Sicko, and amazed by Gainsbourg the movie (the man too, obviously!),Gran Torino, The Illusionist... Love the Miyasaki cartoons... and so many other piece of videos... (The Cohen's brothers, Lars Van Trier, Cedric Klapisch, Sean Penn...).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Discovering some of south America, Oceania, South east Asia, Myanmar, and India... in 368days!!
Lived in several different places... all unknown to me... But always managed to find a way to appreciate the places, the life, and the people!
Stayed homeless for some days in India... outside an airport... waiting for a plane to accept me!!!

Teach, Learn, Share

I just would put it the other way... Share, learn, and teach... Even though sharing is my favorite, as well as "pass on"... to others, and to the younger generations...
I tough languages and snowboard, mainly to kids... don't think it counts... :-)
I'll share my stories, if you share yours ;)
