About Me

Hello, I am a 20 years old Belgian student who decided to completely change lifestyles and decided to go travel the world!
After getting my degree in economics and management I Had the crazy idea to leave Belgium and go to discover Latin America. I have always been fascinated by this continent ( and I hope someday I could call it home). I wanted to learn how to live differently and open my mind to new opportunities. Living in Europe made me feel a bit claustrophobic and I got lost into my routine witch didn't make me feel alive. So I worked very hard as a part time waitress to gather some money to make my dream come true.

I started my journey a week ago by Chile, I am actually in Santiago and I am leaving for the North of the country today. I am planning to travel alongside the coast during 2 months until I get to Torres del Paine.
After Chile, I would like to discover Peru, Costa Rica and Australia!

I've decided to join the couch surfing community because to me it is the best way to really get to know the culture of the country i'm in. Also, I admire how this community brings people from different backgrounds together. It is definitely the best way to meet people and learn about one and others culture.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is an amazing concept, and it brings people together in a simple but great way. How better to learn about a country but by its locals? Also, I am funding my gap year on my own, so I have very limited funds and I can't allow myself to sleep in hostels all the time.

Music, Movies, and Books

At the moment, I am really into 80's and 90's american music and hiphop from the 2000's. Also I am a real movie fanatic, My favorite genre is thrillers and romance. I am not a big reader, but I promised my self to read more during this gap year!!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the amazing chance to grow up in Africa! My parents are Belgians but have worked in Africa their whole life, so i was born I South Africa and I moved to Morocco when I was 6years old. Then when I turned 18, I rejoined Belgium to go to university. I have so many stories about my life in Morocco if you are interested by it amazingly strong culture.

Teach, Learn, Share

About two years ago, I felt like my lifestyle was really a burden to my health and to the planet! During this year, I would love to learn about zero waste lifestyles and veganism ! To me, it is all our responsibility to make sure future generations have access to the same opportunities that we do.
