About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Invent something that will change the world, in a good way hopefully :)
ABOUT ME
First of all this is a common account with my girlfriend Laureen.
Rémi: I'm a determined person, a cartesian one and my first goal in life is pretty simple : being happy while making sure that the people I love are too.
I had the chance of having a bi-cultural Education, my mom is south-american and my father is french. It helps understanding people and imagining the immensity of the world.
Also I'm an inventor and I'm going to invent something that is going to change the world ! It will probably have something to do with robotics, but I'm not sure what it will be yet :D
Laureen : I don’t know if it’s because my 25 are arriving ( Ouch quarter of a century :s) but I try to live in a way that I’ll never regret anything, that’s why recently I tried new stuff : scuba diving (I have my first level), piano, couture, gardening, … Since we went CSing to England with Rémi, I want to travel more, to discover new people, new ways to live. When we went to Ecuador to see Rémi’s family it was such a different world, unfortunately poorer but also with outstanding landscape, and I’ve met the kindest people! I’ve met amazing people and I want to continue this experience. My three “dream” destinations are Ireland, Australia and United States. I want to visit these countries before to be settled (it’s easier without a baby in your arms ;-) ) to really enjoy and discover them.
I’m an engineer but my real passion is to cook especially pastry, one day, I hope, I could open my own caterer store.
PHILOSOPHY
Rémi: I want life to surprise me until I'm old, I want people I love to be happy, I want to discover this world, I want to make people as much “hungry of life” than I am, I want to become wise enough to deserve having a child…
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Rémi: I discovered and tested CouchSurfing in 2009 with a very good friend of mine. We went to the USA and travelled all through the East coast. After that, we went for a 6 weeks trip to GB with Laureen. Both were awesome! We kept more memories of those trips than in a year of “regular life”. We met with people we’ll never forget. Even if deluxe hotels were free, I'm sure they would be tasteless compared to a CS flavoured trip !
We have done a lot of hosting too, though not through the CS system. We often host friends stopping by Bordeaux. And we just finished hosting 2 friends who came to Bordeaux for their studies (one for 3 months and the other for 6 months)

Teach, Learn, Share
Laureen knows how to cook, how to sew, how to garden, how to play poker and how to play ping-pong. She also started going to a piano class and did some painting recently. Meanwhile I ... do robotic stuff :) Actually I teach robotics at my university. I can speak in Spanish if you teach me how to fake an Irish accent !
Would be awesome if we could learn some Irish dancing (after a few pints though)
