ABOUT ME

I currently live in the Missouri Ozarks and have a strong interest in community and sustainable living. My husband and I built an all solar house on 10 acres where we lived for 11 years. We love to learn and teach, and are interested in alternative healing, herbs, organic food, EFT and massage therapy. As we move into our retirement years, we plan to travel and teach more, sharing what we know and learning from others.

I'm new to couchsurfing, but have been a member of Servas in the past, and have met some wonderful people through those experiences.

Interests

I love raising our own veggies and making cooked fresh meals. I enjoy making herbal tinctures and being in nature. I love to read, travel, and meet and share with interesting folks.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Loved sitting in the hot springs near Arenal in Costa Rica and seeing the pyrotechnics at night of red boulders being spit out of the volcano. It was a great explore boating in New Zealand to the inside of a crater of a dormant volcano. Loved exploring and finding beautiful textiles in the indigenous marketplace in Otavalo, Ecuador.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach people a self-help tool called EFT--Emotional Freedom Technique. It's an amazing way to use tapping on acupressure points to very rapidly shift negative emotions, pain patterns, phobias, etc. I've had great results with so many people for so many things! I've had great success in eliminating my own chronic migraine headaches quickly and painlessly.
