About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To be Queen of the Universe.

ABOUT ME

I am human (mostly).Female (very much so).Intelligent (don't let the blonde hair fool you). Curious, curious, curious. Tender, sensitive spirit.Itchy-footed wanderer and restless soul.Tough in a boardroom or political situation--I run political campaigns in the US. Feminist, ambitious, optimist. Very tall (5'11" or 177cm)...and I love high heels!Life-long learner, lover, and linguist. Returned from a 15 month stint living, working and (mostly) playing in Italy (where I was a CS Ambassador) to help run a major campaign for the Democrats in '08, then started to work for a major company as their PR person here in Orange County. So now I have this hard-core corporate job, and do some political/PR consulting on the side and have to pinch myself that I'm being a responsible adult instead of a dreamy wandering gypsy. We'll see how long this lasts......Anyways, I've been away from the scene for a while and I'm looking to reconnect with some Couchsurfers. After all, some of my best friends around the world began as an email......Anyways, I've been put on this Earth to kick ass and help women empower themselves, and travel a lot. Go team. I don't expect my itchy feet to sooth themselves anytime soon. We shall see where this crazy path leads me............

PHILOSOPHY

Life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself.-George Bernard ShawSome of us are becoming the men we wanted to marry. ~Gloria SteinemWell-behaved women rarely make history.--Laurel Thatcher Ulrich

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I spread the word. My friends and family know about this website, and when I am traveling I tell everybody. Several of my random encounters have now joined and are delighted because of it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was attending a meeting in Budapest, where I met one of my now dear friends Steve (a CS nomadic ambassador). He got me REALLY excited about couchsurfing.I had one of the most fantastic experiences of my life hanging with the couch-surfing crew (all 50 of us) in London for New Year's...we went to Big Ben and watched the fireworks and revelry. Incredible. When I lived in Italy I hosted nearly everyday for 6 months.

Interests

Avid reader.Amatuer painter. Internet/email junkie. Tech just AMAZES me!I love health food and to cook.I love exercise once I do it, but hate the idea before.Constant desperation for background music.Aw, heck. I'm interested in EVERYTHING. Science, politics, poetry, ANIMALS, fashion, movies (especially foreign), art, culture, the environment, advice columns, getting my nails done. Seriously, everything interests me.I think only the boring are bored.

Music, Movies, and Books

LOL, what haven't I read? I love everything from trashy vampire fiction to physics. I've actually read the classics. I'm a big fan of Anthony Bourdain-stlye expose's. I like biography, history, science, etc. I'll read anything I can get my hands on. I routinely pour through 2-3 books/week...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was born. Every profound experience (ecstatic or heartbreaking) since then has been something amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Mostly I want to share the vision that globalization isn't necessarily a bad thing in some manifestations. This website is a testament to this idea and it's the coolest thing in the world to be able to click anywhere in the world and know there are people waiting for you.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Canada, Fiji, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Nepal, Netherlands, Panama, Romania, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom
