ABOUT ME

I'm definitely quirky. I get along well with most people. I love to create things. I'm a night owl who has occasional spasms of a more normal biorhythm. I'm smart and eager to learn. I'm not modest, but I try to be realistic about acknowledging my faults, too (I'm lazy, vain, and a know-it-all, among others). I love laughing at funny things, at the world, and at myself. I trust my instincts.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I have a good place to do so, I host.

When I travel, occasionally I surf. I don't like to cause anyone too much trouble! I try to give plenty of notice (but it doesn't always work), I always bring a small gift, and my favorite thing as a surfer is cooking for my host(s).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted more than I've surfed. Accidentally, all of my surfing experiences so far have been in France (and they were all awesome).

I can teach: smatterings of several languages, and more than smatterings of a few; a type of dance called ceroc (a.k.a. modern jive), although it requires a partner; cooking; a bit of photography; odds and ends. Ask me!
