About Me
Hi Travelers,
I am Laureline and I live with my boyfriend Charles in Brooklyn, NY. We are both French, age 29 and 32. We have been traveling across the globe during holidays or weekends, and we are planing to go for a 6 months trip in 2020. For the time being we settled down in New York and we are willing to meet friendly and respectful people from all around the world.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I subscribed to Couchsurfing many many years ago but never used it - neither as a host or as a guest. Charles and I have been hosting many friends and family when we were in London, and since we are in New York - so we thought why not opening our door to travelers that are passing by the U.S.A., and have the occasion to meet interesting people from different parts of the world.
I hope that during our future 6 months trip we will be able to visit the world while staying at CouchSurfer's places, but I am shy so I rather start this experience by being a host myself and learn from other Couchsurfers experiences. We are planning to visit (most probably) Vietnam, Laos, Philippines, Indonesia, and Australia during our future trip.
Interests
We love eating and walking around - that’s the best way of visiting a city. We do enjoy wine and craft beers occasionally. Unfortunately having food as a passion requires to workout to stay fit, so Charles goes to Crossfit and I (try to) run 3 times a week.
Otherwise I am quite a home person - probably a bit shy too, I enjoy doing things locally (in my neighborhood) , staying at home and chill out. I love seeing friends at each other’s places and share good moments with them.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love French songs, hits from the 90-00s, and jazzy musics.
My favorite series are Fargo, Downtown Abbey, Desperate Housewives, Breaking Bad, Criminal Minds, and many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
There are so many unique moments that I will never forget: rafting in Costa Rica, trekking in Myanmar, first time diving in Bali, walking 25K to reach an airport in Australia, eating the best food ever in Vietnam, getting scammed in Thailand, unknowingly renting out a nudist accommodation in Borneo, discovering the magical scenery of California...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my good addresses in Brooklyn, let you know the places to visit that are not in the travelers guides. I think Brooklyn is a great city to discover the real New Yorker's life. The lifestyle here is unique and much more authentic that Manhattan.
