ABOUT ME

Except the cliche that I love a good baguette with Camembert and some good red wine, I am also an outdoor activities lover. I particularly enjoy hiking, bouldering, trapezing and cycling uphill!. I also normally volunteer as a bike mechanic in Bristol, for a small charity whose aim is to fix old bikes and donate them to people in need.

I am also a bit of a melomane and you'd normally find me at any type of music events or gigs, playing the drums or the guitar, which I am learning as I travel around New Zealand .

I am currently traveling through New Zealand with my girlfriend, Nat, who is from north yorkshire and a research scientist.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have got a little comfy couch you can crash on and plenty of blankets to keep you warm. ( this said, this is not available in 2016 as I am back on the road)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couchsurfed in Quebec,Vancouver,Victoria,Dublin, Wellington, and hosted a couple of people in Leeds, London and Bristol. Also hanged out with various couchsurfers here and every single experience was rich in learnings and generally awesome.

Interessi

Im a music lover and play drums. Id like to give a go to a more classical instrument someday.If I could spend my life eating cheese and going to gigs/being in gigs then life would be tastylicious.

I do love randomness,spotnaneity and outdoor activities. My current lubbie is canyoning my way around.

Aside of these, I can always get on board with freshly ground coffee, licorice sticks, sea salt chocolate, chestnut cream tubes and a decent pale ale / bottle of malbec.

Movies: Tarantino, Cohen Brothers, Francois Truffaut,Francois Ozon anything with Depp,Burton,Woody Allen, Kirstin Scott Thomas, Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, Judi Dench..

Music: I am super eclectic in terms of music and ike anything from deep house to Mozart! At the moment I listen to quite a lot of Alabama Shakes, Bowie, Tasha Blanks, Two Doors Cinema Club, Xavier Rudd, Santigold, St Vincent, Anna Calvi, Polica... without forgetting the consistent love for anything 90s including Whitney and Tina.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

The canadian rockies... Simply the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life. Feeling so tiny in the middle of a green and white nowhere is just a wonderful thing.

Little update - I must now add that some of the NZ landscapes I have encountered are challenging the above, especially with views of the Tongariro track and lake Wanaka.

I have been a vegetarian for years so would love to cook for you. I can also do the odd french teaching while my girlfriend, Nat, can endlessly talk to you about nanoscience and scientific research and tea making . :)

Apart from that, endless chats about traveling, yoga, music, getting to know each other is greatly welcome :)
