About Me
CURRENT MISSION
'Few of us write great novels; all of us live them.'
ABOUT ME
A few things:
1) I'm not a fan of about me's, but realize they are occasionally beneficial.
2) I'm fairly even tempered, therefore relatively laid back, but
3) I am always up for a drink and a laugh.
And so it begins.
At the get go, I'm not the most outrageous and exciting individual. However, I absolutely love to get to know people. I'll ask about a four hundred and seventy-nine questions just in the course of one evening.
Where are you from? What do you do? What about your family? Dog or cats? What was your favorite color when you were three? What do you want to be when you grow up? Which superpower is better? What concerns you? If you could do one thing that is out of character for you, what would it be?
I have nearly always been able to find joy in life even on the worst of days, but only in the past few years have really striven to push myself out and away from the comfortable. I'm eager to experience life from other people's perspectives; collectively adding to my own.
I desire to be a blessing. Embrace being tall. And learn my chosen trade well. Among many other things.
PHILOSOPHY
"There is no wealth but life."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Host: I'm eager to shop for a new couch as soon as I finish school. In the mean time, I'd love to take you out for coffee at the one of a kind Hydrant, a drink at the almost famous Lucky Lou's, or an ice cream at the original Beth Marie's. We can also hit up a few other favs in Denton and maybe catch a show by one of the many bands around town.
Surf: Come, stay, cook, eat, laugh, enjoy a cup at your favorite coffee joint, take a few photos, drink, laugh, sit outside in fair weather, put everything in its place, eat, laugh, and leave.
Pretty much any destination that is new will be exciting for me. Seeing the world isn't just about hitting up the hot spots. Ultimately, I'd rather live with the locals. Eat their cuisine. Walk their streets.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Um. Pure greatness.
Interests
Parks. Grassy areas with trees that pretend to be parks. Airports. Drawing baths. Letter writing. Semi-cold beer on moving day. Horses. Riding bikes through Austin. Naps. Especially in unexpected places.
Books. Hot tea. Lovely company.
Apart from this, I have a intense passion for hats, seconded only by dresses, which is followed closely by scarves. I'm absolutely thrilled to have found an area of study that is completely up my alley (nursing). I have a rather unfortunate yet fabulous love of minor disasters. I love ignoring my parents' advice and talking with strangers as if I've known them for years. I journal intermittently. Sketch poorly. Smile loudly. Sing frequently. Dance sporadically. And laugh eagerly.
