ABOUT ME

My purpose the last two years has been the discovery of what it means to live life to the full. I have said yes to things that scare me, pushed myself into unknown circumstances and have slowly let go of the things which have held me back. Through it all I have grown and become a more true version of myself.

One of my favorite parts of traveling is the people element, meeting people from all over the world and discovering we're not all that different. I've had some amazing experiences staying with people and learning the culture as a local instead of simply a tourist passing through.

兴趣

I love to travel. Lately that is all I have spent my money on as it seems to the most worthwhile pursuit of my life currently. I have been living the 'work, save, travel, repeat' lifestyle for a good while now.

I like being outdoors, hiking, catching the sunset, sitting on the beach, reading a book, journaling, people watching.

I also really like spending time with people. Sharing a glass of wine, sharing stories at a hostel or a picnic lunch in a park. I like to hear about other people's life experiences and the journey which has lead them to where they are now.

I'm pretty content to listen to most types of music, although I'm not a huge fan of rap and the content of it. Typically I like country music while I drive, classic rock when I clean, pop when I hike. One of my favorite souvenirs is buying a cd or song from a trip, something that reminds me of a place I've been or a time I've had.

I try to stay current with my movies, although I haven't been to see anything in the theater for a while, I just tell myself I'll catch it on my next flight. I do like classic chick flicks, where the guy gets the girl and everything works out in the end.

I do like to read!

My greatest treasure throughout my days traveling hasn't been seeing the incredible landscapes or ancient buildings. It has been meeting the people and building the relationships. Some of my closest friends are guys and gals I have met on the road in one unique circumstance or another. Although it can sometimes be a challenge to schedule, when the international skype sessions happen, it's all worthwhile. Many of these relationships I look forward to sharing the rest of my life with.
