ABOUT ME

I'm a touring violinist/violist/singer-songwriter, health nut, and lifelong vegetarian. I've taught a thriving violin and viola studio since 1996 and now take my students around the world with me via Skype. I'm sensitive and gentle, entrepreneurial, and curious. I love spending time in nature - hiking, running, doing Qi Gong and yoga. I write for a magazine and for pleasure, I love being creative in general and finding deeper meaning in the experiences of life.

I love meeting new people, playing music for them, and leaving places better than I found them.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though I have yet to try a Couchsurfing host, I've stayed with folks all over North America through my musical tours. Most have been awesome experiences I'll treasure for the rest of my life. A few have been memorable in less positive ways - moldy, housing a really fluffy cat my nose and eyes did not enjoy, a few have been coated with chemical smells. I like it just clean and natural.

Música, películas y libros

All types of music when well played, but especially classical, folk, Blues, bluegrass, traditional, Reggae, and World. I don't watch many movies, but when I do I enjoy witty comedies, period dramas, indie, foreign films, and documentaries. I don't have much time for reading these days, but I like reading classic novels and historical fiction, and a variety of non-fiction.

Managed to make a living at music since I was a teenager, now over 22 years. It takes creativity, but it can still be done!
