My name is Laure, I'm French and I'm 30. Like almost everybody here, I am on Couchsurfing because I love travelling, meeting new people, listening to their stories, getting to know new cultures, learning new things, speaking other languages!

Currently I cannot host as I am not living on my own but I would love to meet you for a drink, for a walk or whatever if you are visiting Paris! Paris is great, I spend my weekends walking around and I still have a list of places, cafés, museums, bars, that I would like to discover. It would be nice to discover more of it together!

A few words about me: I live in Paris for around 3 years. I am working in the cosmetic industry. I enjoy a lot of things, I am quite an enthusiastic and happy person. I always try to make the most of my days! I love languages (particularly in love with Spanish language and culture), I enjoy doing sport (mostly go to the gym or to some classes of yoga, bootcamp, cycling...), dancing (salsa, bachata, merengue, latin musics of course!), taking photos. Reading in the sun in summer. Spending time in nice cafés writing, drawing and making exciting plans. I like plants. Trying new random activities. Leaving notes on Google Maps. Well, quite a random list but at least you got an idea!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is a great opportunity to meet locals when you are travelling and to "travel" through travelers when you are in your town. I wouldn't enjoy travelling differently. During my last trip (in Chile) I have mostly been in hostels and I felt quite disappointed not to share much with locals. My best memories are to have met two Chilean guys at the end of my trip, thanks to Couchsurfing. I have loved knowing them and sharing some hours with them just taking a coffee, walking around, drinking beers. It has been such a highlight in my trip!! It made me realize even more that meeting people is the best part of travelling and of life in general, I don't want to miss it again.

Music, Movies, and Books

Book: Not so good at reading regularly but I try to! Most of the time, I like reading novels, not fictional stories, not historical stories, not detective novels, not top 1 novels, but stories that are or seem real, that are not necessarily "happing ending" stories.

Movies: I like to watch movies or series from time to time but I honestly watch very barely the TV... I always find other things to do than this, but it is a pity because there are a lot of vary famous movies I have never seen 🤭 (just know that if you make some jokes with reference to a movie, there is around 95% probability I will not understand it, sorryyy). I will catch up some day!

Music: I listen a bit of everything depending on the mood, electronic music to work, jazz to relax, pop to be at home and latin music (reggaeton, bachata, salsa, merengue) almost all the rest of the time!

Teach, Learn, Share

If I come to your place I would love to discover your city with you, the places you like, the things you personnally enjoy.
I could teach French as I really enjoy teaching it, and I would like to learn your language or at least some basis of it! I could teach how to save your plants and to have green fingers. I could teach how to knit. I could teach how to be an organized person. These are the skills I think about right now, hopefully I could find some other more interesting things to teach you when we meet haha
I would be happy to learn anything you would like to teach me, it is always exciting to learn new things :)
I could "try" to cook some French food. Please do not expect much, I am not a very good cooker but I will do my best! :D
