Overview
About Me
I love travelling and have been to over 20 countries so far (my personal favourites have been Sweden, Finland, Nepal and Ireland). I always enjoy trying out new things and gaining new experiences (cultural sites, cuisine, sports). Depending on the activity (a cooking or yoga class, a museum trip, a night out), I can be calm or psyched - I'm pretty easygoing and just want to have a good time and learn something new. I'm the kind of person who's more than happy to spend an entire flight talking to the stranger sat next to me (unless they're sending off 'don't talk to me' vibes, which I will always respect), because I love hearing about other people's experiences and interests. There are so many interesting people in the world and I value it each time I meet a new one.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm always very happy to meet new people when I travel - some of the most interesting people I've met have been other travellers in hostels or on planes or trains! Couchsurfing would be great because not only do you get a place to crash but hopefully also new acquaintances who have firsthand knowledge of the location and the best places to visit. I have friends who've had great experiences couch surfing and who've built lasting friendships with their hosts, so why not give it a go?

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm afraid I'm one of those people who doesn't have a favourite genre or band - if anything, I'd say I'm quite eclectic. I'll have specific songs I like, which can range from Paul Simon to Ray Charles to Eminem to Maroon 5.
Movies: Again, eclecticism is the way to go. It all really depends on my mood as well, sometimes I'll sit down for a romcom, other times all I want to see is an action movie or a thriller.
Books: Now here I most definitely have a favourite genre - period dramas ('Persuasion' or 'North & South' anyone?) Since I was little I've always loved 'The Secret Garden', because most of the action takes place outdoors in the beautiful English countryside and the protagonist befriends animals (something I've always secretly wished I could do).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was travelling through Nepal with my sister, we stopped in Chitwan National Park (really close to the Indian border and hence really really hot). Whilst there, we had the opportunity to help bathe elephants. Just the sheer size of the elephant was daunting, but it was so beautiful and mesmerising being that close to it and getting to scrub at its tough hide and seeing it enjoying itself in the water. It was incredible because it started spraying us with water, and even though it felt like we were getting hosed down with an extremely strong power-hose, I loved every minute of it and couldn't help but laugh throughout the whole thing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share anecdotes from my travels and my time living abroad (in London, the UAE and the Netherlands amongst others). I love going out and trying new foods and drinks, hence if you'd love to host someone who's more than happy to hang out in the evenings and visit your favourite places with you - I'm a good bet.
