Originally from Canada, I have lived in England, Switzerland, Thailand, and the Netherlands (and travelled to many more places). What I love most is being outdoors, in nature. I can often be found hiking, trail running, rock climbing, mountaineering, or backcountry skiing. When not exploring the outdoors I enjoy spending time with friends at the local climbing/bouldering hall, checking out local independent bands, watching international films, and cooking/enjoying a meal with friends. I eat plants and am always searching for new foods and flavours. Carrot cake oatmeal, anyone?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I think it's the best way to travel and experience a place more deeply than just seeing the standard sights and taking the standard photos. More importantly it's an amazing chance to meet people from all over the world and get to understand their city, culture, and point of view. The more we understand eachother and have fun together, the better our world becomes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to choose one :) I have watched the sun set while hanging off the side off Aguja de l'S in Argentina. I have watched the smoke rise out of the volcano Tokachidake while skiing down it's slopes. I have learned the sounds of the different types of monkeys in a remote part of the Ecuadorian amazon....

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love the outdoors and am always up for climbing or backcountry skiing together. If you want to learn, I can teach you some yoga. I also love to cook all kinds of food and could teach you some new recipes (handmade flour tortillas? yes!!).
