Overview
About Me
I'm a Pittsburgh transplant working my way through the nonprofit landscape. I came to the city over eight years ago to study at Duquesne University and haven't left since. I love to help people have a great time in Pittsburgh.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I don't believe traveling should cost an arm and a leg. Plus, people are often what makes traveling memorable!
Interests
- arts
- cycling
- snowboarding
- hockey
- reading books
Music, Movies, and Books
Favorite books include, but are not limited to,
-Harry Potter (it's a generational thing, I won't hold it against you if you haven't read it) by J.K. Rowling
-Jitterbug Perfume by Tom Robbins
-Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut
-The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
-The Things They Carried by Tim O'Brien
Music, I love most all of it, but I prefer music that makes me want to dance.
Movies are few and far between for me but I like O' Brother Where Art Thou, LOTR, Captain America and Some Like it Hot to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I drove a manual, 10 seat bus around New Zealand for five days without incident!
Teach, Learn, Share
I have some cooking skills, but better baking skills. I give great Pittsburgh recommendations and make strong drinks. I'm a great listener and love learning new things because it allows me to better understand the people I meet.
