My husband and I both grew up in Colorado. We're big nerds who like to learn and explore.

I'm a mechanical engineer interested in power generation and creative energy solutions, urban planning, energy efficient transportation, and manufacturing.

I love to create, whether that's doing house projects, sewing fun costumes, or metalsmithing jewelry. I love all kinds of dancing; I've mainly done East Coast swing, contra, and blues/fusion. I also have gotten really into linguistics, particularly language history and etymology in the past few years.

The local people I've gotten to know have been the most meaningful and insightful part of my travels. Meeting new people and hearing of their struggles and victories broadens my view of life and societies.
