About Me

Hi my name is Lauren I have always been drawn to traveling, I believe it is a wonderful chance to grow and see the world from different perspective. I am a recent college graduate from University of California San Diego where I majored in Sociology and minored in Business Finance. This summer I plan on traveling for two months in China and Thailand before I come back to a career in finance. I am an open minded free thinker, extremely mellow, and personable. I am a social person and can connect with pretty much anyone regardless of our differences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing because I have heard from many friends that this is a great recourse to use when traveling. They have told me that this cite allows you to stay with locals providing a great opportunity to connect with the culture, which is one of the best things traveling can offer (in my opinion).

Interests

My interest include exploring, hiking, reading, eating good food, wine/ beer, I also have a passion for art. I've been told I am a thrill seeker because I am an avid scuba diver and I enjoy anything that gets my adrenaline pumping like waterfall repelling, skydiving, and bungee jumping. I also like my introverted time where I can appreciate the world around me as an observer looking in.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really like the rolling stones, tom petty and the heart breakers, most things from the 60's and 70's. I don't discriminate when it comes to music I think all forms can be appreciated in their own way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

This is a hard question... I think the most amazing thing I've done is created life long friendships with incredible people. I have a great support system and I really owe that to all the inspiring people around me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share perspective on the life of a Californian, I've lived all over the state I can give you recommendations of places that are worth seeing depending on your interests. I have traveled many places and could recommend which countries to see and what activities to do. You can also practice your English with me. I am very respectful and gracious and would provide a pleasant experience as a guest.
