Hi there! I am a 21 year old Canadian from the Toronto area...I have many pets and love animals! I play rugby for my school and enjoy sports and all things active. I am currently in school studying gerontology (what's that!? Lol its focus is on seniors and aging!)...I love seniors and dream to own a company that provides later life care! I have an older brother whom I am very close to, and we like to do lots of traveling together! I have been to much of South America, China (would LOVE TO GO BACK)!, the UK...and now am currently on my first big Europe trip!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through my most recent travels in Europe I have heard amazing things about couch surfing and many new friends I have met strongly recommend it! It is a unique way to experience a new city and meet some incredible people. I think that the concept of couch surfing is very exceptional in that open, adventurous people offer their own home to curious travellers providing an insightful and intimate experience for both the traveller and the host! So rad!!!

Interests

I love to be outdoors....swimming, sports, hikes or just lying on the beach! I am really getting into foods...perhaps starting to consider myself a "foodie" as I LOVE trying new and different dishes and learning about cuisines of the world...fascinated by the variety and difference of cultures! Seeing new sights and places is extremely thrilling to me...on this latest trip I have been astonished by things I have seen wether is be the Eiffel Tower or fresh caves in Lagos...absolutely amazing...made me realize how meaningful traveling and seeing new and different things is....trying to expand my little "bubble"!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music from good rock to hip hop! I just appreciate a well engineered tune and good beat. Movies vastly vary but I'm a sucker for a corny comedy...dodgeball...step brothers...lol. I'm not huge into books as i don't sit still for long!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am super passionate about what I study and do! Providing palliative (end of life) care to a client privately in his home was probably one of the most amazing experiences I have done. Uplifting his spirits on a daily basis was very rewarding and living with a here and now attitude was a huge learning experience for myself! I still kee I touch with his family, which is one of the coolest things to feel so appreciated and valued beyond my work!

In my line of work I preach the value of life regardless of what condition or stage you may be in! I see so many people with regrets and sorrows of their life...this is the life you were given, live it or loose it!
