Hello, I am a small-town girl from the USA living in Germany for 10 months. I'm currently a full time student and researcher and unofficial part time traveler. I'm hoping to see as much of Europe as possible in these 10 months so I can really get to know other cultures, people, languages, places, food, and more. I'm really bad at talking about myself but I am happy to answer any questions. Overall, I'm super friendly, polite, respectful, honest, and open. I would consider myself a wonderful house guest :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would love to meet people who really know the places I'm traveling. I want to experience places through the eyes of locals, and hear about their favorite restaurants, sites, bars, etc. This site provides me with a way to meet people and get a bit of the locals' experiences!

Music, Movies, and Books

Forrest Gump (I can quote almost the entire movie), The Lord of the Rings, Braveheart, Gladiator, Remember the Titans, She's the Man.

I read way too much for school so I can't currently think of favorite books. But, trust me, I love reading and have many favorites :P ...most of the time you can find me reading books about the Holocaust or WWII because that is what I study in school, but also the history that interests me most.

I also like all kinds of music, but my favorite is 90s alternative rock! My favorite bands are Matchbox 20 and Goo Goo Dolls. But, one of my other favorite artists is the country singer Eric Church.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I would have to say traveling with a few friends across Europe a few years ago. That sounds cliche but I had some of my best memories in a 4 month period!

I am also pretty proud of getting a Fulbright research grant to Germany (which is why I'm currently living there)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all about history! I study the Holocaust and WWII which can be difficult for some people to hear about....but many others seem to be very interested.

I love to learn. I am naturally curious about anything and everything. You can tell I like to learn since I keep going back to school. I am also hoping to start a PhD program in a few years.

I will share any and all wisdom I have acquired throughout my own life as long as you share some of yours
