About Me

I'm an outgoing, friendly, chilled out 21 year old travelling because I like the way it teaches me so much! I'm into gardening, cooking, eating, listening to music, swimming in the ocean, having conversations, reading, journalling and having my mind changed. I study Public Health at uni and recently finished a job in the sector. On my journey so far I've done volunteer farm work, met unforgettable people, visited heaps of cool places, hitchhiked and ate a whoooole lot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm on couch surfing because I'm travelling on a budget - which I hope others on here can empathise with! I also love to connect with different people and explore new places by living there. Please note- as I am travelling around, it's not so easy for me to verify my address, but I hope the rest of the info on my profile assures you!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - Love hip-hop! Especially the older stuff - J Dilla, Madlib, A Tribe Called Quest, Lauryn Hill, etc.
Lots of indie - Belle & Sebastian, Beach House, Tame Impala, The Smiths, etc.

Movies - The last movie I really enjoyed was Call Me By Your Name. I loved the whole aesthetic, the soundtrack, and the acting especially.

Books - Beloved by Toni Morrison is a recent highlight. Another one would be The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy. As for all time classics - The Bell Jar by Silvia Plath.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled Vietnam on a motorbike. One particular journey turned out to be an incredible story and if you ask me about it I'll be happy to tell!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach - French (to beginner/intermediate level), cooking, journalling/ typography, Australian slang

I love to learn about people's lived experiences and the peoples' history of new places.

I love to share my own story, notes from home, advice and connections- happy to contribute to your network!
