Hi, all! I just finished my MPH in epidemiology at Tulane in New Orleans and my primary interest in public health lies in maternal and child health. I'm currently traveling attempting to meet with and learn about others doing outreach and nonprofit work in the hopes of learning more about how I can most effectively start my own non-profit here in New Orleans. In particular, I want to meet those most concerned with social justice issues in LGBTQ health, trans rights, poverty/underserved communities, community building, and early childhood education.

Additionally, I'm turning 25 and hoping to find new adventures and experiences as I travel through the country for ~6 weeks! I really enjoy the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, yoga (of all types), and bouldering/climbing. I have celiac's, so I prefer to stay in for meals, but I cook pretty well and love to cook for friends. I love a debate/discussion on any topic and try to stay well-informed.

Traveling to visit friends but also to find new people to whom I can relate and learn from as I come to my 25th birthday. I hope to meet people actively involved in their communities and cities, so hostels and hotels won't suffice! And, staying with locals is way better anyway, right?

I'm a great cook. I myself have celiacs, enjoy being (mostly) vegetarian/vegan though will try anything once, and I'm used to navigating nearly all dietary restrictions. Up for exploring anywhere or anything outdoors or active. I am working on fluency in French and Spanish and would love someone with whom I can practice. Nerd pursuits are also of high importance to me if you should need a sidekick to a comic shop, reading, museum, art show, or the planetarium.
