Lauren and Rhys are travelling together for 8 months. We both quit our jobs and we are out seeing a bit of the world. We love nature and being outside, and we also love to chat and meet new people. Lauren loves hiking , baking and craft and Rhys loves camping, history and model making. We live in a rural area in Tasmania Australia. We both come from big families and we love to play board games. Both quite tidy, non smokers who dont mind a drink now and again.

We would like to couchsurf because so far we dont get to meet many people on our trip. We usually camp and stay in airbnb and often the host is not home and or doesnt want to chat. We want to know more about the countries we are visiting and what its like to actually live there. Also its nice to talk to someone else not just each other.

40's and swing music, 80's and 90's pop, folk- we listen to pretty much anything though. Lauren loves to read - favourite books Earths Children Series Jean M Auel, Magician Raymond Feist, anything by David Eddings and The 5 People you meet in Heaven. Rhys loves to watch movies -Atlantis, The Lighthorsemen, The Castle, Moulin Rouge, Life is Beautiful.

Interested to learn new recipes, local history and culture, stories and skills. Can teach any recipes we know, love to teach Australian slang and know a fair bit of Aussie history for those interested. Also have plenty of good stories to share.
