Overview
About Me
I backpacked around the world for over a year and then spent close to another year living in France before COVID set in. I've been working as a freelance writer and ice cream maker settled down in the Boulder area (Louisville) for a year, but I'm planning to still do as much traveling as possible once it's possible again.
I'm a vegetarian and have two cats and a piano. I'm newish to the area myself and still have a lot of local exploring to do!
I have a lot of hobbies and interests (I play several instruments, have a degree in politics and love watching standup comedy). I'd love to hear about your experiences and learn something new!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love getting to experience different cities authentically instead of just as a tourist. Meeting new people is one of the most exciting parts of traveling and the easiest way to broaden your horizons and understanding of the world.
Now that I'm a bit more settled for a while, I want to pay forward the hospitality that's been shown to me and continue to meet more people from the world's travel community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I interned at the Scottish Parliament during the Scottish Independence Referendum back in 2014. I got to bring my communications/design skills and put them to use for an SNP member of the parliament while completing an individual research project on Scottish environmentalism. History was being made in the very room that I sat in with the people I got to engage with!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to help you improve your English, teach you how to knit or we can find the next great coffee shop or head out for a weekend hike!
I'm finally pretty good at French and love the opportunity to keep practicing, learn more, or we can sit around and trade our greatest adventure stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm happy to share music or book recommendations, travel trips for the future or tell you a story.
