Über mich
As a young child, my mother would take me to China once a year to visit my grandparents. I always hated the trips. I hated being away from my friends and the comforts of home. My hometown of Orange County, California was very sheltered, and it contrasted sharply with the poverty I witnessed in my grandparents' neighborhood. But something about those trips must have resonated with me, because since my teenage years, I've been obsessed with travel. There's something about being somewhere new that makes every experience exciting and meaningful. I always saved whatever money I could to travel during my school holidays. After graduating college I backpacked around Europe for several months until all my money was spent. I went back home and got a job in an office and settled into what I thought "adult life" was supposed to look like. An apartment, car, pets, hobbies, etc. But the reality of 10 days paid time off per year set in, and I realized I could never live that way. I quit and have been traveling ever since. That was in back in 2015, and while there were definitely some rough times, I've never regretted my decision. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is the importance of treating people with respect, and kindness. We all are walking this life path, and making the best decisions we can with what has been given to us. You're a human being, and I'm a human being, so there is understanding between us. I love Couchsurfing for the connections, and memories. I've made some truly great friendships through this website, and can honestly say I've yet to have had a truly negative Couchsurfing experience (although there have been a few funny stories I'd be happy to share with you). So if you're looking for an experience, so am I! Let's make it a good one 🥰
Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin
I've hosted surfers in California, South Korea, and Mexico, and I've surfed in many of the countries I've traveled too. I really appreciate the karma give and take of this experience, and the genuine connections I’ve made with people from all over the world.

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe
When I was 21, my best friend and I went to Yosemite National Park and hiked to the top of Half Dome. When I was 14, I had the option to do this hike with my camping mates, but was afraid I wouldn't be strong enough to make it, so I chickened out. Growing up I regretted that decision, so going back to complete the hike meant a lot to me. Standing at the top, I felt so proud of my mind for not giving up, and my body for carrying my soul and bringing it to such a beautiful place. Before that experience, I really let fear influence my decisions. Half Dome showed me that I was strong enough accomplish anything I was creative enough to imagine, and set into motion a lot of the adventures that followed.
