About Me

Hello there! My name is Lauren and I am an avid traveler. I'm a born and raised NYer living in San Diego, California.
I am a Structural Integration Practitioner aka Rolfer, I own my own private practice in San Diego.
Double Vaxxed and boosted**
Most of my travel ambitions have taken a back seat since covid but alas I'm ready to stretch my legs again.
I am a free spirited person and love the chance to let the wind guide me along the way.
I have so many passions that I love to share! Dancing, yoga, hiking/walking, cooking, snorkeling, communication, ceramics/ throwing on the wheel, non-monogomy, road trips, motorcycles and finding the nearest warm/sunny spot in any house.
I love to understand the human condition - getting to know the way other people live, think, feel, operate, cook - formulate their days. Humans are my favorite medium.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have reopened my doors to travel outwards and would love to find safe ways to nuture new connections in foreign spaces.
Along with my eagerness to share my education with you I am an excellent cook, organizer, creative problem solver and a good listener. I would be happy to show you some love and appreciation for any kindness you are able to show to me in my time of need.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled South America from May 2016 to September 2016. I spent two months in Ecuador and two months in Peru as a backpacker.
Along my travels I hiked a volcano in Central Ecuador, road a bicycle around the Andes Mountain range, I tried white water rafting, paragliding, and I learned how to kite surf alongside the beaches in Santa Marianita, Ecuador.
I volunteered in several hostels.
I stayed with local families and couch surfing hosts.
I climbed Machu Pichu in Peru.
I went sand boarding in the desserts of Ica.
I learned how to make Pisco Sours on Peruvian Independence day.
Most importantly I strengthened my relationship with myself and learned that happiness does not need to be measured in dollar signs but in the finer things in life such as love, good company, good food and the importance of spending time in nature.

Teach, Learn, Share

Think of me like a physical therapist and Psychologist combined. Im an expert in body language, bodywork, psychotherapy and interpersonal communication.
I'm also a fantastic and passionate cook that loves to share space in the kitchen.
There is always so much to be learned from other's experiences, I would love to learn from yours and share what I've learned from mine.
I find so much joy in community 💜
