Hi :) the name is Lauren, currently living in the mitten state. Love going new places, my favorite place is the UP. It's a wonderful, beautiful place that you won't soon forget! I'm up there as much as I can be! I love learning about new people and other cultures. I volunteer with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and would recommend doing it! It's incredible to be part of something bigger than yourself. Co-run a Bill Murray Appreciation Club (BMAC) with my bestie/roomie. Netflix binges and burritos are a go to, but also love just being outside for hours. Love Lake Michigan, Lake Superior.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To travel the world unlike a tourist and learn about this world we live in. I love the fact that you can stay with locals and really get a better grasp of the communities you are in, not just the tourist shit.
If anyone is ever in lower Michigan, I would love to show you some of the cool things around, whether they be hidden or known.

Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Weeds, It's Always Sunny, Workaholics, BROAD CITY, Bill Murray, independent films, dark comedies, hate scary movies, Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Mindy Kahling, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, The House of the Scorpion is a great book. The classics. The smell of an old book is one of my favorite things, next to the sound the guitar makes while you move from note to note.

I love just talking to other people about their lives. I can teach you how to cook some delicious things, many involving red potatoes, Italian dishes, Mexican, anything involving steak, etc.
