Overview
About Me
I'm all about new experiences and meeting interesting people along the way. I'm an adventurous Australian who has lived and worked in Sydney, London, NYC and Amsterdam over the past 5 years. I relocated to Calgary, Canada in 2014 to be with my Fiance, Nicholas.
I love sports (specifically netball and hockey), skiing, musical theater, fashion, traveling, hanging out with friends, seriously good food and wine - either at a local eatery fave or on the couch in front of a good movie or TV series! Nicholas is a fitness junkie, who loves to ski, cycle and play squash, but also enjoys kicking back with a beer and the latest episode of Top Gear.
We're looking for like-minded guests and hosts who are trustworthy, professional and respectful. We look forward to hearing from you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've crashed on many a couch in my 7 years living abroad. I'm always interested in meeting new people from different cultures and hearing their stories, whilst seeing the world affordably and having new adventures! And I hope to be able to give the same back to other travelers! What goes around comes around.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: AltJ, Florence and the Machine, BORNS, Flume, Of Monsters and Men, I could go on forever I used to work at an independant radio station in Sydney!
Books: Kite Runner, 1000 Splendid Suns, Shantaram, The Girl on the Train, Game of Thrones, Gone Girl, Harry Potter pretty much anything with a good story line that doesn't bore me within the first chapter!
Movies: Birdman, Pulp Fiction, FightClub, Inception, The Usual Suspects, Shawshank Redemption, Forest Gump, The Breakfast Club and to be totally honest, I'm a total sucker for anything by Pixar
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Left my home in Sydney, Australia and moved to London, UK by myself when I was 22 with next to no money or any idea about what I was going to do with myself. My family didn't think I'd last (in fact they had bets that my parents would be paying for my flight home within 3 months of me leaving). It's now been 7 years...
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd love to learn more about local life of the cities I'm visiting, as well as the basics (and swear words?) of the local language.
I can help explain the rules of NETBALL, which I have found more often than not Canadians know nothing about (and always think I say NIPPLE haha), even though it's one of the Commonwealths most popular sports for women!
If Nick is travelling with me he can tell you all about cycling, Top Gear and corporate insurance.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A bottle of wine?! Some whacky (sometimes laugh-out-loud, sometimes terrifying, sometimes both) travel stories for sure. And of course good company!
