About Me

25 years old, last year I completed my studies in Occupational Therapy and began working in Mental Health.

In January I decided to take a 5-week trip to the Philippines and before I knew it I was planning to delay full-time work and go travelling for the year.

I am currently traveling solo, mainly through Europe from around April until November (maybe?)

Before the trip I had only used CS once (4 years ago with a friend) in Munich and I had a great experience.
I hadn't had much chance to travel during my studies and then rediscovered CS during this trip through meeting other travelers. I have now used CS a handful of times through Europe and have taken to the community vibe instantly.

My plans for this trip are to see parts of Europe more thoroughly than I had previously seen, and to settle into local experiences and meeting local people throughout the places I visit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and experience local living.
I want to experience traveling in a slower and more relaxed way to previous trips I have taken, and to take opportunities as they come by meeting fellow travellers and people living.

My goal for when I move back to Australia is to find a new home close to my job where I will be able to host CS's who visit Melbourne.

Interests

I like to cook and eat - I am vegan so anything that falls onto that category.
I love doing juat about anything outdoorsy and active, more recently surfing and hiking on this trip.
Whilst I am generally very energetic and like to spend my days doing many things I am also learning to appreciate quiet days and nights inside, whether it be spending the night watching a movie or relaxing amd engaging in good conversation.
When I am at home I Melbourne I usually spend a lot of time hanging with my friends, trying to get out of the city on the weekends by having an adventure in nature. Over summer I love to go camping, attend music festivals, and try to see new parts of the giant, beautiful world we live in.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music -
There is no easy answer for what sort of music I like.
During my school years I would like to a lot of heavier music such as rock, metal, screamo which I can still appreciate now (with headphones on if that's not what you're into)
I LIVE for dancing to music and electronic, house, techno feeds my soul. Even had a psy/trance period in my music journey.
Disco has been my latest craze and anything with a groovy beat and soulful rhythm gets me dancing.
And finally I will always have a love for acoustic, alternative, folk bands, and if you would like to hear some Australian surf rock music I can definitely offer some suggestions 🎶

Books -
Currently ready - Murakami
I have been taken by his writing style.

Have been something I unfortunately negelected in my recent years of study but in that time have joined a bookclub with my friends and endeavour to broaden my literary scope!
Recent books I have read and enjoyed include: Handmaids Tale; Eleanor Oliphant is completely fine; Sputnick Sweetheart, The Road

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently completed Camino de Santiago - I cannot explain enough how incredible the experience was.
Probably one of the most mentally and physically challenging triumphs in my life 🌳💪🏼

Since then I have become engrossed in hiking, and whilst I do not have adequate gear on this trip I have been attempting hikes whenever I can.

What I Can Share with Hosts
