Hello! My name is Lauren Parent, I am 25 years old from Worcester, Massachusetts. I graduated from Worcester State University with a bachelors degree in History and Elementary Education. After I graduated I moved to Chiang Mai with my boyfriend, Chuck, to get our TESOL certificate with XploreAsia, and then moved to Ayutthaya Thailand and taught high school English. We then went on an Asian Adventure for 6 months and then needed a cleanse so decided New Zealand was a great options. We have been in New Zealand since March working with maize and just recently starting traveling through this beautiful country.

My boyfriend and I have been overseas for two years working and traveling. Couch surfing has been the best way to make friends with locals and others from many different parts of the world. We were couch surfers in Ho Chi Minh City with this other guy from Hong Kong. The three of us became great friends and then ended up meeting up again in Hong Kong a couple months later.
