Overview
About Me
My husband and I have quit our jobs in LA to travel around in search of waves and amazing experiences. We are avid surfers and my husband is an experienced spearfisher. We started in May 2015 and hope to go as long as we can! We are currently in Australia and have a car and camping equipment, so even a place to pitch our tent is cool.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was recommended by a fellow nomadic friend to join on here to find ways to meet awesome people around the world. We hope to host when we reestablish ourselves in San Diego in 2017.
Interests
Surfing is our lifestyle and traveling keeps things interesting. We love to get out there and find epic waves, eat good food and hang out with new friends. Willy is a spearfisherman and has brought home some huge fish to share with friends and cook for dinner.
Music, Movies, and Books
We like a lot of music, I'd say we stray towards classic rock though. Willy is a die hard classic rock guy but I enjoy more broad genres. Always interested in hearing new stuff. If it sounds good, we like it.
Not huge on the other entertainment mediums. Of course we have our favorites but don't really think that matters much...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Watched the Northern Lights with beers in hand and in good company in Bodø Norway. Surfed some super epic and scary big waves in Indonesia. Hiked the highest point of Machu Picchu in Peru. Drove to Cabo from San Diego back in 2006 when we we just babies. Really lots of amazing things have happened in our lives and we couldn't be more grateful.
Teach, Learn, Share
Always learning, happy to teach what we know and of course share experiences and talk story!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation, cook a meal, teach a surf lesson, pet sit or even baby sit if appropriate. I don't really know but if there's something we can offer we will do our best to make it happen.
