About Me

A kid at heart who loves music, dancing and traveling any chance I get. I was born in a super small town but with dreams to travel all around the world ( we actually have a festival every year named the Worm Gruntin' festival). Im a social butterfly and love to meet new people and try new things. I love photography so you can catch me snapping away photos. Recently started enjoy cooking and reading cookbooks (Thug Kitchen, ya'll.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To share experiences with people I don't know, who will eventually become lifetime friends. Its not always the place that makes a trip the best, but the people you encounter :)

Music, Movies, and Books

MUSIC IS LIFE . I absolutely love any kind of music--- If it wasn't for music, my life wouldn't be the same... my favorites are classic rock (The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Guns'n'Roses, AC/DC, etc), any rock really (Young the Giant, Arctic Monkeys, the Black Keys, etc). Whenever I need to feel good and independent, I crank up Beyonce and Spice Girls. If i need to hear some soul and real instrumental talent, I crank up any band with more than 5 members. I LOVE jazz (shout out Frank Sinatra, RIP homie). My list could go on forever....

MOVIES are cool. I love film. My favorites are Across the Universe, Grease, Breakfast at Tiffany's ---and if I want a good laugh, Anchorman.

Books go hand in hand with coffee. I enjoyed 1984 by George Orwell, Spirit Junkie by Gabrielle Bernstein and The Mastery of Love by Don Miguel Ruiz.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Helped build houses and taught basic hygiene (as simple as how to brush your teeth) for impoverished areas in Honduras.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have so much to learn and the older I get the more I realize you can never learn enough. I hope I can teach others to stay positive and to always wear a smile because life is so beautiful. I can share my past experiences (good and bad) in hopes of lending a different perspective. In this phase of my life, I am more so learning than anything else--- when I am in the later years of my life, I like to think I will have years of experience to teach and share with my grandkids (while sitting in a rocking chair on my front porch).
