About Me
Hi! I'm Lauren and although I'm new to the site, I'm not a stranger to the couchsurfing world. My best friend and I couchsurfed several times in Europe and when we lived together we had several travelers from Sweden, England, and the Netherlands come to stay. I love to travel, it's a bit of an obsession and my hopes are that I will harness my experiences abroad to find my purpose in this world. I love to write and am currently writing for my blog but hope to write a book or two one day. I'm a respectful, fun-loving, caring and open minded soul. My friend from back home (a guy named Justin) and I are traveling around New Zealand together for a while by means of my car and are looking for some lovely people to take us in for a couple nights at a time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a growing network of like minded people that enjoy the company of people we probably would not have met otherwise. It offers me the chance to soak up a city by seeing it essentially through the eyes of a local, while also protecting my bank account somewhat. I look forward to the day when I can again offer my home to international guests and play tour guide.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love indie, rock, blues, classical, world music. Everything, really!
I love science fiction and fantasy, the Harry Potter series most of all. The Book Theif, The Poisonwood Bible, Into the Wild, Many Lives Many Masters.
I enjoy watching movies, most of all foreign films.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon in Arizona with a friend. It was an intense and difficult journey down and back out but spending the night at the bottom was so rewarding. The animal and plant life and viewing the stars were amazing. My body couldn't move for the next week and I lost a toenail, but it was incredible.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am always open to learning about new things. Would love to learn guitar or how to sail.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation over a great meal that we can cook for you! My friend is a chef and I'm not so bad in the kitchen myself.
