I am a math teacher that works for an urban charter school in Buffalo, NY. I have lived in Buffalo nearly my entire life. I graduated from Fredonia State University and received my Masters from Canisius College. At Fredonia, I studied abroad in Ireland which is where I fell in love with traveling and hope to venture to other areas of the world. Once I graduated, we moved to Charleston SC for a year so I could gain some experience teaching. We loved the city, but missed our family and friends, so we returned to our hometown in Western NY. I have been married for 2 years and bought our first home in my hometown of Orchard Park, NY just over a year ago.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I studied abroad in Maynooth, Ireland which is where I found a love for traveling and meeting people from all over the world - I cannot wait to go back to Europe and complete a three week backpacking trip this summer! Luckily, as a teacher, I get to enjoy my summers which I hope to spend traveling to new places all over!

Food and wine! We live in one of the best food towns in America! Ever heard of BUFFALO wings? yeah... that was us... Also known for our Beef on Weck, Fish Fry, Sponge Candy, Loganberry, Pastery Hearts, Sahlens hot dogs, and soooo much more!

My House! 2 Spare bedrooms with a queen bed and futon bed, a couch, and two extra air matresses! Enough for up to 8 people!

- Downtown Buffalo: 20 miles (if you don't have transportation, probably not the best place to stay if you just want to visit the downtown area)
- Eternal Flame/Chestnut Ridge Park: 1-2 miles
- Buffalo Ski Club: 5 miles / Kissing Bridge: 10 miles
- Hamburg Village: 4 miles / Orchard Park Village: 5 miles
- Galleria Mall: 18 miles / McKinley mall: 10 miles
- New Era Field (The Ralph): 7 miles
