About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to gain an international perspective

ABOUT ME

I just moved to San Antonio after doing my graduate degree in Italy and NYC. I am looking forward to joining the CS community here and hosting in this up-and-coming city!

PHILOSOPHY

You've got to pay it forward. I believe in being thankful for everything you have. Positivity is what makes the world a better place, and hospitality is a part of this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted in Torino for a year and a half and I want to host in San Antonio or at least go to CS events.

So far I've hosted:
Johnathan - California, United States
Katya - Moscow, Russia
Johnathan & Sarah - North Carolina, United States

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couchsurfed in France and Spain with a friend in 2008 when we were backpacking through Europe, it was unforgettable!

March 2011 went couchsurfing solo in Berlin and met some amazing CSers from around the world. So much fun and such a wonderful experience.

May 2011 went couchsurfing for a week all across Sicily, had some of the best food and most welcoming hosts I could have imagined.

Interests

I love the arts: galleries, museums, performing arts, visual art, architecture, you name it. I can't get enough of cultural heritage and I enjoy learning new languages and customs. I love to ride bikes, read novels, crochet, write, and continue to learn.

I recently tried snorkeling for the first time and loved it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Being waved at by the Pope, Easter 2011.

Skydiving in Texas a few years ago - there's nothing like the beautiful, expansive Texas sky, especially when you're flying through it!

I also loved the experience of climbing hundreds of stairs to the top of the Vatican cupola. From there you can look out onto St. Peter's square and beyond onto all the ancient beauty of Rome.

Carnevale in Venice.

Every night in New York City.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Netherlands, Spain, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
