I'm Lauren, 21 and from a small peninsula called Wirral, which is just across the river Mersey from Liverpool. I am a Law student at the University of Sheffield, but I am currently on a year exchange at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing as a way to fully immerse myself in to the American way of life. I feel through couch surfing you gain a much richer and broader experience whilst travelling and also meet some great people. My ambition has always been to travel America so I am trying to see as much of it as I can whilst I'm here and couch surfing is a great way for me to do this.

As I am currently studying abroad, I am unable to host anyone in madison, however, once back home, I would be welcome to host people at my house in Sheffield.

Interests

I enjoy travelling a lot and love taking short city breaks when I can. Seeing new cities and cultures really interests me and I love learning new things about place and people.

I am also an avid Yogi and practice yoga at least 4 times a week. I enjoy things such as shopping and socialising and love meeting new people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I have a varied music taste and will pretty much listen to anything, however, it's unlikely you'll find me sat listening to an Eminem album.

My favourite book is 'Before I go to sleep'.

Although I tend to want to see new films, I rarely get around to watching them, however, my favourite movie is the Dark Knight.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Although not amazing to many people, I sailed around the Dalmatian Islands and found some of the most beautiful and secluded beaches I've ever seen.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a fun person, who likes to learn new things as well as share my own knowledge and experiences. I am outgoing and talkative, and feel I could really give my host a proper insight to the british way of life. I am respectful, caring and easy going.
