About Me
Hi, I'm Lauren, I'm 27 and in my usual life I'm a teacher. I am told by others that I'm too easy going and that I apologise too much, but despite that I'm a good person to have around as I see the positives and am always up for a walk, drink or chat at home over coffee. Ialso love the outdoors and happily go camping, play sports or walk for miles. Along with my partner Stu, I am based in Melbourne, Aus. I am useless at staying put in any one spot though, so while I technically call Melbourne home, I have only been there for 2 out of the last 5 years. I have also lived in London (like every other twenty something Aussie) and seen a lot of Europe and lived in country Aus. This year Stu and I are trying to see as many countries as possible and have already worked our way through much of Asia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My partner and I decided to drop out of the rat race and see the world. We have quit our jobs, rented out our house and plan to try and see as much of the world as we can. We hope that Couchsurfing will allow us to gain a more local experience of the areas to which we travel. We really want to learn as much as we can about each culture we encounter and are on the sight more for the chance to get local tips rather than stay in peoples places, as we understand two people couchsurfing is a little hard most of the time!

I always hate these questions! Depending on the mood I'm in it could be anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
So far, I don't think anything really. I classify amazing as doing something that makes a difference, and I'm yet to feel I've really made my impact on the world. I'm hoping these travels will help me figure out what that amazing thing will be.
What I Can Share with Hosts
While we have no "home" at the moment, when we finish our travels we will have a great little apartment in Melbourne to have you all come and stay in.
