About Me
Generally speaking I'm a very positive, happy and enthusiastic person. I love to talk and share time and moments with people and along my travels I have made some wonderful friends.
About 5 years ago, my teaching job in England was making me so stressed and depressed that I decided to have a break from work to do some solo travelling abroad instead. It was the best decision I could have made and I discovered that travelling is a greater passion of mine than I ever realised. I've traveled in Ghana, South East Asia and Europe and now I am living and working in Zaragoza, Spain. My newest plan is to travel to South and Central America and I hope this can happen sometime next year.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling to new places, especially alone, can sometimes feel a little scary or lonely but I've found that couch surfing can give you connections in places to take these feelings away. I have made true friends through couch surfing, learnt knew things, shared unforgettable moments and I am truly very grateful to whoever came up with such a wonderful idea. Learning about new places and cultures from people who are actually from or living in that place is a much more real and authentic experience than any tour company can offer.
Interests
Travelling makes me intensely happy. I feel so free and alive when experiencing new cultures, meeting new people and learning new things. Currently I am in the process of learning Spanish and am really enjoying the challenge. I am really keen to practise as much as I can. I am an animal and nature lover and enjoy heading out for a walk in the woods of hike up a mountain (slowly, as I'm not really that fit). To relax I love to read and I really enjoy writing in my travel journal.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I worked for a week in an elephant sanctuary in Thailand. I trained as a mahout to look after one specific elephant. Malee was a beautiful animal and I cried when I had to say goodbye.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can be a partner for interesting conversations. I can share with you my knowledge of the countries I've visited and funny stories from my travels. I would love to join you in a drink and learn about you too! Also, I'm very clean, tidy, respectful and independent so I won't make a mess in your home or be a burden on your life 😊
