About Me
Hi!
My name is Lauren; originally from Sacramento, California, but currently working as an English teaching assistant in Madrid, Spain. I graduated from the University of Arizona in May 2014 with a degree in broadcast journalism and a Spanish minor, so I've been working to increase my Spanish ever since. I enjoy many things which include: all types of sports, cooking and baking, listening to music, meeting new people, seeing new things, and of course, traveling!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm on Couchsurfing because as someone who has done lots of traveling (and is about to do more), I find it really amazing that there are ways to make it easier to get somewhere new without having to be extremely worried about finding a place to stay. Also, getting to meet someone new at the same time makes it extremely rewarding; learning about different cultures, languages, and ways of life from the United States has always been so fascinating to me, so getting to experience it firsthand makes it that much more special when traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love all types of music, but my current favorites include: The Lumineers, Young the Giant, and Hozier. I have a wide variety of what I listen to, so going down that list would take awhile! Books I've recently read include: Leaving Time by Jodi Picoult, Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari, and This Must be the Place by Maggie O' Farrell. It would be hard to find a movie that I didn't like, too.
