ABOUT ME

Hi! My name is Lauren and I'm really outgoing and have a way of making others feel comfortable around me. I like to have fun and can see the good in anything, I'm definitely a glass half full kind of girl! I'm currently a student (majoring in Biochemistry) on my study abroad program and absolutely loving every minute of it! I'm all about gaining new experiences,meeting new people and having amazing stories to tell.

Interests

I'm a dancer so anything that has to do with moving and having a good time sparks my interest. I also enjoy reading, mountain biking, writing and being crafty. I really like to try anything new and am not afraid of 'different'. I can just as easily have fun at a farmer's market on a Sunday afternoon as I can going to the club and partying. It's all about balance and finding several things that you get enjoyment from!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I walked up Calton Hill here in Edinburgh. The day was sunny and glorious and I was exploring on my own. Once I reached the top of the hill and saw the stunning views for the first time I just couldn't help but to say "wow". It was definitely a moment that made me step back and truly appreciate what an amazing opportunity I've had in coming here. I will never forget the first time I saw the Eiffel Tower lit up at night! The way it sparkled looked like glitter and I sat there mesmorized by it eating a crepe :) White water rafting up in the Scottish Highlands was a pretty awesome experience as well, even if I couldn't feel my fingers afterwards.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to dance and love sharing my joy and knowledge of it with others. Whether its just for fun or more serious and technical I can help you! I have always wanted to play a musical instrument and speak another language. Anyone who'd be willing to teach me would be awesome! Also, anyone with great photo taking skills; I'd like to take better pictures!
