About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to see the world!

ABOUT ME

My friends would describe me as a random, funny, and outgoing person. I am really fun to be around and like to have fun no matter what I'm doing. I feel like I never meet a stranger, because I am always open-minded and ready to listen. All of my guy friends invite me to weddings as their dates (if that says anything! haha). I enjoy hanging around with laid back, easy-going people.

PHILOSOPHY

I truly believe that I am here to give. I want to help as many people as I can. My happiness comes from knowing that I helped someone out in a time of need.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I went to Charleston, SC for a short vacation and decided to just stay with different friends. It started out with people I know and then branched out to staying with friends at homes of people I didn't know very well. I didn't realize that I was actually couch surfing! haha

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We just hosted our first couchsurfers this weekend and are expecting another group this week. The girls who stayed with us this weekend were absolutely delightful! I can't wait to meet the others!

Interests

I have a bachelor's degree in Psychology. So anything having to do with the mind or ways of thinking grab my attention. I love to volunteer and help people. I recently moved to Charlotte to fulfill an internship at the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Before I moved to Charlotte I volunteered for the Pee Dee Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. I love being involved with anything that empowers women or promotes independence. I am always attracted to people of different cultures. I love languages, food, clothing etc from foreign countries. I really love music...all types. I particularly like folk-style music and music from the 70s.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love funny movies. I love to laugh at stupid things. Judd Apataw movies are my favorite. I especially loved Knocked Up and Superbad. I also loved the season of Freaks and Geeks.
I love all types of music. Reggae is one of my favorites. Nothing lifts my spirits better that some reggae! Some other artists that I can't get enough of are Iron and Wine, Incubus, Band of Horses, Black Keys, and Feist. I also like bluegrass music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I travelled to the Yellowstone National Park and while driving home that night, my friend slammed on breaks. There was a huge buffalo in the middle of the road. Thankfully, the buffalo moved but it was pretty scary and amazing all at once.
