ABOUT ME

I am a 28 year old Australian currently traveling through South, Central & North America with my legend of a boyfriend on our way to Canada for the winter!

Travel is my passion but my world would be nothing without music, nature and incredible people to share the journey with

At the moment we are in the bay area for a couple of weeks until we start some short term work up north, looking for somewhere to use as a base to explore this amazing coastline

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

New to couchsurfing as a website but definitely not as a concept, I have hosted a number of international and local guests over the years, new friends, old friends, fellow travelers even people I met at an airport luggage claim not sure of where to stay...I am a big believer in Karma and helping people out when I can so once I am back in Australia will definitely continue to use this site & give back :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have offered and been hosted on many a couch over the years, when I worked in a busy hostel in Edinburgh & offered for a couple of guys to crash at my place when the hostel was fully booked they were so appreciative! Later when I mentioned I was thinking of going to Oktoberfest in Germany but wasn't sure where to stay they insisted that I stay with them for free in a pre booked hotel to return the favor :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love so many different forms of music but if I had to make a shortlist it would be, Reggae, Funk, Soul, Accoustic, House, Glitch, Swing and anything live...there is nothing I love more than discovering new music or stumbling upon a talented musician performing

For movies I am not fussy at all but favorites would be involving...Jim Carrey, Will Farrel, Seth Rogen, Tim Burton, Quentin Tarantino, Johnny Depp or something with a bit of UK humor like Simon Pegg or Rikky Gervais

Books I am a bit fussy though...not massively into fiction but can appreciate it when done well, in no particular order, Marching Powder, Shantaram, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Alchemist, The Dice Man, The Help, Sideways

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Recently I was able to swim with a migration of Whale Sharks just off the coast of Isa Mujeres, it was incredible and completely mindblowing that it was even possible to swim so close to such a giant creature!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am learning to use a hula hoop and flow wand at the moment...might be a long shot but if you know how to use either that would be awesome!

My boyfriend also drums, mainly hand percussion...is learning ukelele and harmonica too
