Overview
About Me
I used to work in book publishing in NYC. Then I read The Omnivores Dilemma and became a farmer. I don't get to travel much, but when I do it's such a wonderful change of pace.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I am a vagabond (to use my brother's charming expression), too in-between beds and states to be able to host you. But someday, someday...
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been on Couchsurfing a couple years on and off. Have never hosted, but my surfing adventures (in Burlington, Portland, Seattle) were great. In my experience, CS'ers are very friendly, welcoming, and generally have a lot of pride and love for where they live. I can't wait to meet more of you.
Interests
I love any kind of partner dancing (especially salsa, zouk, blues, west coast swing), hiking, running, making jam and pickles, foraging, wine tasting, and seeing new places. Yoga keeps me sane and pliable, dancing makes me happy, hiking and walking in the woods are a necessary regular activity, and meeting new people is an unparalleled thrill.

Music, Movies, and Books
Jonathan Tropper. Julia Glass. Mary Oliver. Wendell Berry. Michael Pollan. Dracula. Jane Eyre. Calvin and Hobbes.
I don't own a TV. Except for Shark Week, PBS and Masterpiece Theatre, I don't miss it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Two truths, one lie. I have:
1) driven across the country
2) crashed a party by climbing in through an open window
3) killed a rooster
What I Can Share with Hosts
Gratitude. Lots of gratitude. And maybe some homemade pickles or jam. Or garden advice.
