About Me
Hey Future Couch Surfing Buddies
My name is Laurence and I think I’m quite a nice guy. I mean sometimes I let my housemates eat my food, and just yesterday I gave this lady my seat on the train. See, nice guy.
But in all seriousness, I’m a young profession who recently finished studying. I live in a 4 man house with other young professionals. We don't have any pets but we love the neighbours cats and they may as well be our cats the amount of time they spend with us!
I've been really enjoying starting my herb and vegetable patch which is now ready for harvest! My mint is the talk of the neighborhood, but I think that’s because it’s always accompanied by a mojito and the students next door just want to get drunk for free. I couldn't be more pleased!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m on Couch Surfing because it’s so much easier to drug you if you’re already in my house…kidding!
I’m hoping to meet some rad people and start the karma wheel turning in my favour for when I travel overseas again. I’ve also found that when I’ve hosted people before I end up doing more exciting things and enjoying my free time that much more because I have an incentive to show off my beautiful city!
Interests
I enjoy playing casual sports; a bit of running to clear the head and rugby practice during the week for my team The Turtle’s (we’re been described as the most promising Club Team in the Greater Cape Town Metropolitan Area by ‘My Baby and Me’ Magazine…
Other cool things are hiking Cape Town’s many mountains and jumping off high rocks into the ocean and only realizing once I’m already in the water that there’s isn’t an easy way out and I have to swim to shore.
I definitely enjoy some party karate if we’re going somewhere with good music (which means songs with words in them) but my preference is dinner and drinks where I can laugh, tease my friends and play innocent footsie-footsie with the hot guy across the table from me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I once played tennis against the wall and won. It was a tough game but I definitely deserved the win. I think I just wanted it more and played to win!
