About Me

I am an enthusiastic person that finds traveling and discovering new cultures fascinating. I am very open-minded and enjoy learning new things everyday. For most of my academic journey, I've been focusing on languages and international relations, but I recently specialised myself in media culture, since I have recently developed a strong interest for information technologies.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love traveling and meeting new people! Also, I am currently in Japan to improve my language skills and couchsurfing seemed to be a fun and efficient way to meet native speakers.

Interests

I've been in love with Japanese culture since I was 4 years old and started watching diligently an anime called Card Captor Sakura. In my free time, I can spend hours studying languages through books, television, music, blog articles and so forth.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

During my year abroad in Japan, I had the chance to celebrate New Year with my Japanese friend and her family. Knowing the importance of that specific holiday in Japan, I was more than grateful to be able to live such an unforgettable experience. I was initiated to all the traditional elements that makes Japanese New Year so special: Wearing a Kimono and going to the temple at midnight to eat soup and see the local dances, going to the mountain to make mochi, eating toshikoshi soba and osechi ryori surrounded by my friend's extended family, resting under the kotatsu and watching Kohaku live on television ✨

Teach, Learn, Share

Currently working to reach an advanced level in Japanese and it is always a pleasure for me to teach French or English.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am fluent in French and English, so I could definitely teach you a thing or two. I can also speak a bit of Spanish, but I'm currently focusing on learning Japanese. Also, if you have a problem with any electronic device, it would be my pleasure to help you fix it!

I hope we can create great memories together and if you're willing to join me on my daily adventures, I and willing to split the fees that could be necessary to rent a car, cook homemade foods, etc. If you need my help for anything it would be my pleasure, so don't hesitate to let me know ☺️
