Overview
About Me
I believe each person inadvertantly perceives the world with themselves at the center, but in reality we are interconnected. I believe that if you open yourself to the universe, the universe opens itself up to you. I believe that people should always come before profit, and every person is a potential friend.
Update 6/2017
I have just finished my traditional university education and am excited to embark on more of my favorite type of living and learning-- connective, responsive, unplanned travel. Family, friends, and a commitment to this world are all important to me; so is being untethered and free. My life acts as a see-saw balancing act between these modes. I am curious and compassionate, and love to listen.
Update 5/2023
I am older, possibly wiser, and a bit more boring now! I left a career in educational equity nonprofits in IL to come back to my family in MA and pursue becoming a therapist. I just completed my first year of social work school and I'm excited for this next journey.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I value journeying and exploring new places. Meeting people along the way and sharing good conversation and the friendly gesture of a couch to crash on is so beautiful and important to me. Couchsurfing is often my stay of choice. I have also enjoyed hosting people and showing them around Saint Louis, or just welcoming them into my home for a friendly face and a place to sleep, eat, and do laundry. I get it.
In 2015, I was lucky enough to spend two months couchsurfing throughout the western U.S., and in 2016 I spent another two months unplanned in southern Europe. 2018 I spent several months in Chile and Peru camping and couch surfing again. I'm these brief times, I have had incredible experiences, and I am excited to have some little tastes of what it's like to adventure and connect with new kind souls via some more local trips this summer.
Interests
I'm interested in silliness, somatic movement (dance, yoga), nature, music, movies, road trips, sunsets, writing, and meaningful connections.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Ziplining hundreds of feet in the air, hundreds of feet across. Except I tried to go upside down and my pants got caught so I was stuck, which wasn't so amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to learn about cooking, outdoors things, wood working, or anything! Not so sure what I could teach, but I can have a thought provoking conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a good listener and I'd be more than happy to share some stories, cider, or food!
