About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel the world and gain experiences through meeting interesting and exciting people from all over!

ABOUT ME

Easygoing, love to learn about new cultures. As a teacher I'm a big believer that you never stop learning. Travelling for me has been the most amazing growing experience and I will never stop doing it.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to believe that human beings are inherently good. I think that this is an amazing opportunity to prove this to myself. There are still good and honest people out there who are willing to help out a person in need. I also believe that if you are good to people, that goodness will come back around and help you out when you need it! Throw positivity out into the world and it will come back around. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've met some amazing people through couchsurfing! We hosted quite a bit when we were living in London and a few times in Bedford. Hopefully people will come to Saskatoon and surf there as well! (But I'm not counting on it haha!) We've surfed all over Europe and it's a great way to see a country.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had my first experience in London, and it was excellent! It's such a great way to meet new people and gain new perspectives.

Interests

Traveling!, music (I sing and play piano), cooking, reading, sports (soccer, basketball, swimming), having good conversation, drinking good wine, meeting interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love World War II movies and historical fiction movies, (pretty much anything that's well done) a good romantic comedy is nice when you're in the mood.

I love to read. And I've read heaps of wonderful books. I have a very wide variety of books that I love from the Shopaholic series, to Harry Potter, to The Kite Runner, The Book of Negroes, and A Thousand Splendid Suns to name a few.

Music? Pretty much anything but heavy metal, and I don't really like much rap. I love acoustic stuff (Coldplay, The Fray, Adele, The Script are a few) and country! (Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, and many others)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't think any sunset in the world will beat a Saskatchewan sunset. I don't care what anyone says, they are the most beautiful I have EVER seen. And the northern lights in northern Saskatchewan are amazing.

I have gone skydiving, which was an awesome experience! I also conquered a fear this summer and did a rope swing into an amazing natural bottomless water- filled crevice in a mountain in BC (it was terrifying). I "flew" a small plane when I was working up north in Saskatchewan (didn't take off or land, but I was in total control in the air!)

Teach, Learn, Share

So cliche, but live life to the fullest. We're only on this world once, so try everything once, don't be afraid to get hurt, eat dessert, walk around barefoot, laugh, get yourself out of your comfort zone, and constantly be in search of new experiences and adventures.
