About Me

I've left my first description I wrote for couchsurfing when I joined 6 years ago below. A lot has changed in those 6 years, other than the fact that I'm still travelling. I lived all over Australia for 4 years, then New Zealand for a year and a half, and finally now I've been in Japan for 9 months. I have met the most beautiful people over these last years. Many of whom I will visit again on my next lap around this gorgeous planet. I am still plant based and love the outdoors, I spend almost everyday outside: hiking, camping, trail running, snowboarding, slacklining, climbing, surfing, exploring, anything I get my hands on and try. Being said I might not be very good at all of the above because I spent a lot of time trying new things.
I adore meeting new people, hearing their stories, seeing their lives. We only get this one short life in this world, so I am trying to make the most of mine. I might enjoy just chatting over a beer or glass of wine, but am not opposed to dancing until the sun comes up as well.

"I've just jumped head first into traveling Australia for a year after after spending years of dreaming about it. I can be a bit too timid for my own good, which tends to make meeting new people a bit tricky. Always the optimist, I see the good in every situation. I love the great outdoors, but at the same time, I have a huge love of big cities. I try to live a healthy life and am happy to sit outside enjoying a nice view. I am vegan, but I don't have a problem being friends with those that aren't, none of my friends back home are vegan. Don't get me wrong though, I can still cook a mean meal." - 2013

PHILOSOPHY

Just get out and live, you can't waste your life away.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been lucky to have been hosted by some wonderful people and look forward to hosting people when I am done traveling! (Maybe one day!)

Interests

I have so many interest. I adore learning new things, so if I meet someone with an interest/sport/hobby I haven't tried before, I jump at the chance to give it a try.
My interests in no particular order:
Music (and festivals), singing, dancing, yoga, hiking, camping, climbing, slack lining, paragliding, surfing, trail running, photography, snowboarding, cooking, gardening, drawing, kite surfing, road trips... I'll think of about ten more after I finish writing this.
I want to get better at surfing, rock climbing and learning more about gardening/agriculture and how to make things, like a table!

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes are so varied, I'm always listening to music, switching between genres by the hour. Same goes with books and movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

"The most amazing thing I've done so far has been to work up the courage to leave home to travel for a year."

Six years traveling and I've climbed Mt. Fuji overnight for a sunrise at the summit, bungy jumped in New Zealand, gone scuba diving with sharks at night on the great barrier reef, road tripped through the outback in Australia... but everyday is amazing, not just the highlights.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach some basic japanese, kickass vegan food (the tastiest and easiest loaf of bread) and tell you about how I almost asphyxiated myself in a tent at a music festival in Japan, during a typhoon.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to cook you (or with you) a delicious plant based meal and share stories, places, philosophies and ideas.
