I'm passionate. I am committed to the struggle for social and ecological justice. I laugh loudly and a lot. I love green things. I love living things. I love music and theatre and poetry. I love to grow food as well as cook and eat it. I got champagne taste, a beer budget, and utter wanderlust. I crave emotional transformative connections with people and place. I am honest, real, and straightforward.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

What I would most love is to find amazing folks who would let me crash with them for reasonable amounts of time. I am into respect and reciprocity. And fun! I am willing to host in a situation where there is respect and reciprocity on your end. (Reciprocity does not necessarily mean cash.)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Many years ago a dear friend said, "I'm going to San Francisco." I said, "Where ya gonna stay?" She said, "On some stranger's couch." I said, "Um. Really?" She said, "F-yeah. Check out couchsurfing.org. It's amazing." Many years later, I have come to find out she's right: couchsurfing is amazing!

Interests

I love any nature-oriented activities, especially hikes and backpacking trips. I love live music and theatre. I love food-- cooking as well as dining. I love to meet new folks from all different backgrounds and engage in long conversations. I love to laugh. I love time alone. I love to read and write. I love to travel-- of course!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jinja, Uganda: white-water-rafting the source of the River Nile.
Megiddo, Israel and Palestine: digging up 3,000 yr. old bones of sheep from a temple mount.
The Grand Canyon, Arizona: backpacking down to Havasupai and setting up camp next to the biggest of the waterfalls.
