ABOUT ME

Having been raised as an only child by a single hippy mother, I was able to have opportunities that very few people have had. I have lived in isolated, native communities in the Canadian arctic. At the age of 13, I cycled across Ireland for 6 weeks. At the age of 15, I cycled from Paris to Prague via the Swiss Alps. I backpacked through Ecuador, South America for 2 months and swam with giant sea turtles in the Galapagos. You might say my childhood was a bit unusual.

However, I believe it is through these experiences that I have become who I am. I love to meet new people, learn new languages and discover the little nooks and crannies in the world that aren't listed in any guide book. I am naturally curious about the world. I love to learn. I enjoy listening to people's stories... maybe one day I'll hear yours!

-watching the Aurora Borealis from my front porch in northern Canada
-finding a three leaf clover in Ireland
-sleeping under the stars in the Sahara
-enjoying the thermal baths in Budapest
-bungee jumping in Quebec
-eating perogies from the milk bars in Poland
-witnessing ice bergs in June in Newfoundland
-road tripping & eating kebabs/gyros through Greece and Turkey
-snorkelling with sea turtles in the Galapagos
-being offered 100 camels for my hand in marriage in Morocco
-being proposed to by a polygamous chief in a rural Ecuadorian village
-searching for the lochness monster in Scotland
-riding a suicidal golf cart through Isla Mujeres, Mexico
-sleeping on Shi Shi beach in Washington
-paragliding over the Alps in Switzerland
-parasailing over a sunset in the Philippines
-getting lost and found on the backroads of Finland
