ABOUT ME

Lauren :I am a French Literature teacher who has alway been living in Lyon but who has travelled in many countries, such as Turkey, Spain, Italy, Germany, USA, Estern Europe countries... I am interested in many many things such as theater, literature and music, but also sports, sciences... My life project is teaching (French) to foreigners and to spend my life in other countries because I think nothing can be more rewarding than crossing various cultures.

Tomas : I am a French student in Physics born in Nancy. My father is colombian, which is why I went many times to Colombia and my parents raised me in spanish. I am devoted to my passions and to my friends. My life project is to be an investigator in physics because I am fascinated by the laws of nature; and to go on exploring the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Enjoying live as far as possible, respecting people and other cultures. Spending the most time possible with the people we love. Not living life for money, but for personnal, internal happyness and accomplishment.
Going from place to place, from couch to couch, by bike !

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For the moment, we particpate in exploring parts of the world to meet new people and new cultures. As new members we are discovering the vast, facinating network and way of thinking of couchsurfers, and we participate by sharing this way of thinking.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We went couchsurfing in a few cities in Belgium, Netherlands, Turkey and Portugal.It was great, and we would be thrilled to host more people in our nice flat in Lyon !

Traveling, discovering new places, meeting friends.
Culture in general : scientific culture (more for Tomas), literature (more for Lauren), cinema, music and various kinds of arts for both.
Learning and improving languages. Teaching and learning in general.

音乐、电影和书籍

Tomas is passionated by hippie music : all the rock bands of the sixties. Very found of blues (especially that of the sixties). He plays bass guitar. Movies : Pulp Fiction and Fight Club.
Lauren is passionated by theater : pwatching, reading, playing... Found of classical literature : ironic authors like Flaubert or Oscar Wilde, sensitive ones like Proust... Listening to modern rockmusic, but also jazz, classical music, older rockmusic, folkmusic... Movies : Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Head on, and many others !

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

-Living in Istanbul : crazy amazing city.
-Living in Madrid too, and crossing Madrid by foot while carrying a mattress we found on the floor.
-Loosing ourselves in unknown countries by travelling by bike an cycling on quite dangerous roads.
